We have been incredibly busy in Year 6 this half term with our Global Enterprise Challenge already underway. The children wrote an application to apply for their company roles and have been focusing on their brand, logo and slogan. The children are really excited and have produced some unique ideas for their companies for this year.
In Geography, the children have enjoyed conducting a range of experiments to understand the effects of erosion and weathering, using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to recreate the effects of chemical weathering. The children were able to describe their observations and link the experiments to real life examples.
We have been focusing on electricity in Science with the children completing a series of challenges surrounding how to make a circuit bright enough to light an exhibition for the Natural History Museum and prevent burglaries. We then moved on to light and shadow with the children designing their own bat signal to project in times of need.
