On Monday 28th June the children in Broadclyst Reception visited the Bear Trail for a muddy adventure! We were so impressed with the resilience and determination that the children showed, representing the school and our motto ‘fortune favours the brave’. From hauling themselves over tyres and swinging across hay barrels, the children bonded with their peers and demonstrated teamwork.

A wonderful moment was when two children worked together to pull up another child holding onto a piece of rope. We enjoyed our lunch, sharing the best parts of the day so far, with the big slide being a favourite! The adult helpers all got stuck in, wading through the water and encouraging independence and risk assessment in the children. On return to school, we shared our photos and celebrated our achievements. The Bear Trail was a truly fantastic day out, thoroughly enjoyed by all and it highlighted just how far Reception have come in their first year of school.
