In Reception this half term we are listening to and learning lots of traditional tales. The children have been retelling the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and making bear masks to wear.
They had great fun building bridges during our work on the 3 Billy goats gruff and created some fantastic story maps. The children explored how to make the bridges stay up and what materials were strong enough for the bridge.
In Maths the children have been learning about 2d and 3d shapes and can now name the shapes and talk about some of their features. The children were able to spot the different shapes in the classroom and out on the playground.
The children really enjoyed celebrating world book week after learning about traditional tales. The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to some great authors read us their stories and dressing up as their favourite book characters.
The children have enjoyed discussing their learning with each other.
